These Terms apply when you use the ATA Prep website, the ATA Prep study app, or an ATA Prep account. If you do not agree with them, do not use ATA Prep.

How we handle your information is covered separately, by the ATA Prep Privacy Policy.

ATA Prep is intended for people preparing for FAA A&P certification.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an ATA Prep account. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use ATA Prep only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

An ATA Prep account is for one person. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself.

You can sign in with an email address and a password, or with Google. Some things — redeeming a licence key, opening the questions in a package you own, saving a study guide, writing a review — need you to be signed in.

ATA Prep is for your own study. Do not share your account or your password, and do not give someone else access to material you bought.

You can use ATA Prep on the devices you personally study on. There is no device limit.

ATA Prep is sold as packages. Buying a package gives your account access to that package's questions and to the study tools that work with them. Prices are shown in US dollars.

Access you have bought stays available while ATA Prep continues to operate and to support that product, subject to these Terms, your account's standing, and lawful changes to the product or the service.

Corrections, revisions and updates to a package you own may reach you through the access you already have. Wholly new products or packages are separate purchases unless we say otherwise at the time.

A licence key gives an account the packages it names. A key works once: when it is redeemed, the packages go onto that account and the key is used up.

Keep your key safe before you redeem it. Anyone holding an unredeemed key can redeem it onto their own account.

ATA Prep provides FAA A&P exam preparation for the Written and Oral portions of the certification process. ATA Prep is independently developed.

The hands-on practical portion is done with your instructor or employer. ATA Prep prepares you for the Written and Oral portions; it does not stand in for practical work or for an instructor.

Questions and study material are revised and corrected over time.

ATA Prep is a study and exam-preparation service. ATA Prep does not guarantee that you will pass an FAA examination, receive a certificate, achieve a particular score, obtain employment, or receive any other particular result. Whether you pass depends on you, your training, your experience and the examiner. Study material may be corrected or updated, and AI-assisted features may make mistakes.

Some ATA Prep features are AI-assisted. Reading an AKTR to suggest what to study, and the feedback on a spoken oral answer, are both produced automatically.

Automated output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Treat it as study help, not as an authority. You remain responsible for your own preparation and for checking anything that matters against the official source.

These features depend on an outside service and may be unavailable, changed or withdrawn.

If you own at least one package you can write one review. Reviews are checked before they appear, and we may decline, hide or remove one.

Write about ATA Prep. Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, or that is not yours to post, and do not include other people's personal information.

You keep ownership of what you write. When you submit a review, you give ATA Prep LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, reproduce, display, format and moderate that review as reasonably necessary to operate ATA Prep and to display the review through ATA Prep. We may approve, reject, hide or remove a review. It is shown with the display name you chose; your email address is not shown. Your review is removed when your account is deleted.

Use ATA Prep for your own study, in the ordinary way, through the website and the app. Do not:

• share your account, your password or your access with anyone else;
• copy, reproduce, republish or redistribute ATA Prep's questions, study material or software, in whole or in part;
• sell, rent, sublicense or otherwise make ATA Prep's material available to others;
• scrape ATA Prep, or extract its content by automated means;
• work around licensing, access controls or payment;
• use ATA Prep's software, content, question material or automated access to build, populate, train, benchmark for replication, or materially reproduce a competing commercial study product or dataset, without our permission;
• interfere with ATA Prep, its security, or anyone else's use of it;
• use ATA Prep unlawfully, or to break someone else's rights.

Studying with ATA Prep is not any of these things. Reading the questions, taking your own notes, and using what you have learned — in your exams, in your job, and in the rest of your life — is what the product is for.

ATA Prep's software, question banks, study material, text and design belong to ATA Prep LLC or to whoever licensed them to us. Buying a package gives you personal access to study with it. It does not transfer ownership of anything, and it does not give you the right to copy, publish or distribute it.

ATA Prep's name and logo are ours.

If you believe material made available through ATA Prep infringes your copyright, contact [email protected] with enough information for us to identify the material and understand your claim.

You can ask us to delete your account by writing to [email protected]. We check the account is yours and then carry it out. What is removed and what is kept is described in the Privacy Policy.

Deleting your account ends your access to packages you bought. Deletion is not a refund, and a refund is not automatic on deletion.

We can deactivate an account, restore it, or delete it.

ATA Prep may restrict or end access for a material violation of these Terms. Where practical and appropriate, we may give you notice and an opportunity to correct the violation first. We may act immediately where necessary to protect ATA Prep, its users, its content, payment integrity, or service security — for example in cases of payment fraud, a security compromise, malicious interference, substantial unauthorised scraping or extraction, circumvention of licensing or access controls, or serious unauthorised reproduction or redistribution.

If we end access because of your material breach of these Terms, access associated with that account may be revoked. Ending access for a material breach does not by itself entitle you to a voluntary refund, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

ATA Prep is not currently accepting live payments. The purchase-related sections below apply when paid checkout is enabled.

When paid checkout is enabled:

• prices are shown in US dollars before you pay;
• payment is taken by a payment provider, not by ATA Prep, and your card details do not reach ATA Prep's own records;
• taxes may be added where they apply;
• access to purchased products will be associated with the purchasing account according to the checkout flow then in effect;
• your purchase is subject to these Terms and to the ATA Prep Refund Policy.

If a payment is reversed, charged back, or otherwise not completed, ATA Prep may restrict or revoke the access associated with that payment while the dispute is resolved. A payment dispute does not by itself establish fraud or a violation of these Terms.

If you change your mind, you can ask for a refund within 14 days of your purchase. Inside that period we do not ask what you did with it, and it makes no difference whether you have redeemed a licence key.

We also refund a duplicate purchase, and a purchase we cannot give you access to, whenever that comes to light.

A refund ends your access to what you bought.

The full rules are in the ATA Prep Refund Policy. Nothing in it takes away rights you have under the law.

We do not promise that ATA Prep will be available without interruption. It can go down, and it can be taken down for maintenance.

We may change, add or remove features. Some features depend on outside services and may be changed or withdrawn by them. If we stop operating or supporting a product, that is a change to the service and is handled under this section and the Refund Policy — it is not the same as ending your access for a breach.

To the extent permitted by law, ATA Prep is provided on an "as available" basis and without warranties beyond those expressly stated in these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

To the extent permitted by law, ATA Prep LLC is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of ATA Prep.

For ordinary claims arising from a paid ATA Prep product, our total responsibility to you for direct losses is limited to the amount you paid for the affected product.

Nothing in these Terms limits any responsibility that applicable law does not allow us to limit, including responsibility for fraud or intentional misconduct.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except to the extent mandatory consumer-protection law applicable to you provides otherwise.

When these Terms change we update this page and change the effective and last-updated dates at the top. We do not send email or in-app notices about changes to these Terms.
